How passengers choose their journey in public transport

If there is anything that public transport passengers want to avoid during their journey it is transfers, although departure frequency and reliability of departure times are also of great importance when passengers in Scania in southern Sweden choose how to travel with public transport. These findings are highlighted by Ulrik Berggren from K2 in his PhD thesis about public transport passengers preferences and travel behaviour.
