Research

K2 is Sweden's national knowledge centre for collective mobility. This is where academia, the public sector and industry meet to discuss and develop the role of collective mobility in Sweden.

We conduct research on how collective mobility, with public transport as the backbone, can contribute to attractive and sustainable cities and regions of the future. K2 is a multidisciplinary research environment and our research is conducted in close collaboration with collective mobility actors.

During our first phase, we focused on five areas that played a central role in the development of public transport. These areas have laid an important foundation for our work and are presented below. Today, we work from three research perspectives – improve, renew, and deepen. More information about our new direction will be available soon, and we are continuously updating the website.
