Helena has a PhD in Economics and is assistant professor at the department of Urban Studies at Malmö University. Helena’s research includes studies on accessibility, and particularly the intersection between property market and transportation. Her previous work includes studies on the effects of changes in accessibility on property markets at local and regional level, commuting and residential mobility. One main theme in her research is distributional aspects, both in terms of geography and socio-economics. Her research is mainly based on econometric methods but she also uses GIS and to lesser extent qualitative methods. She is currently the project leader of Capturing the impacts of changes in public transport accessibility: A mixed methods approach.
