My research examines the political prioritization and decision-making processes surrounding infrastructure maintenance, with a particular focus on road and water systems. Infrastructure maintenance plays a vital role in fostering development and promoting sustainability. However, it can also have significant social consequences, disrupting everyday life by temporarily reducing mobility, accessibility, and daily routines. The goal of my research is to explore how infrastructure maintenance is organized and positioned at the intersection of political priorities and social impacts.
