Fredrik Pettersson-Löfstedt

Research leader, K2

Presentation

Fredrik is an associate professor and senior lecturer at Traffic and Roads, Lund University, as well as a research leader at K2. He is interested in the dynamics between different decision-making levels, organisations, and actors in the transition to a more sustainable transport system. Many of the K2 projects Fredrik has been involved in have focused on stakeholder collaboration in various processes, such as planning new infrastructure and systems (e.g., demand-responsive public transport, BRT systems, and electric buses) and integrating public transport with urban and regional land-use planning.

In the coming years, a central focus will be on increasing the understanding of how to manage conflicts between different interests and stakeholders when implementing proximity-based planning concepts, such as the 15-minute city.
