Jens’s research focuses on public transport governance and sustainability transitions. In his PhD research project he studied changes and developments of public transport planning principles since the 1970’s, focusing on a case study of public transport governance in Scania, Sweden. The research highlights how power and conflicts over ideas about the role of public transport in society align with the spatial and organizational governance of public transport. Jens is employed at the Swedish Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI).
