K2

Collaboration at the core

Collaboration is at the heart of K2’s work. We bridge the gap between research and practice, and work across disciplines and organisations within academia. We promote collaboration at multiple levels – from practice-oriented research projects to the sharing and dissemination of knowledge.

Practice-oriented research projects

We create the conditions for research to address current needs and contribute to the development of collective mobility. Collaboration in research projects can take different forms, such as:

  • Reference Groups – Practitioners act as advisors to researchers, providing insights and feedback throughout the project.
  • Steering Groups – Joint problem formulation and ongoing dialogue between researchers and practitioners.
  • Co-Production – Practitioners actively participate in analysis, data collection, and the production of research findings.

Platforms for dialogue and knowledge exchange

We create forums where researchers and practitioners can exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and share research findings:

  • Knowledge Lunches – Online seminars where researchers present their findings to the industry.
  • Research Seminars – Meeting spaces primarily for researchers to discuss results, methods, and theories while exchanging ideas and experiences.
  • Regional Roundtable Discussions – Conversations between invited participants from regional authorities, the Swedish Transport Administration, and researchers to address current challenges and share experiences.
  • Education – We offer courses for professionals working in collective mobility.

Collaboration among researchers

Collaboration among K2’s researchers strengthens both practical impact and scientific quality. As a researcher with us, you become part of an inspiring and dynamic environment, with opportunities to network and exchange ideas with experts from various disciplines and organisations.
